What you'll love about it.
There is a boat basin with floating docks, a private boat ramp, and slips. Easy access to Boot Key harbor and the Atlantic Ocean near the Seven Mile Bridge.
It's close to beaches - less than ten miles to Sombrero and Veterans Beaches, less than twenty to Bahia Honda and Curry Hammock State Parks. Just a three mile bike or hike to Pigeon Key from the house. Turtle Hospital is a mile away, and Dolphin Research Center ten miles off. Marathon is a fishing town, but there also many festivals, live music at most bars every night, an active community theater, plenty of volunteer opportunities.
Galway Bay residents are friendly and sociable. There are weekly activities at the Tiki Hut, park-wide parties on holidays, golf cart and bike parades, and neighborly assistance when needed.
